TOP QUALITY – Chablis Grand Cru ‘Les Preuses’ 2019 : 95/100

Taking its name from ‘pierre’ (stone), Preuses is located high on the grand cru slope, facing south/southwest, with plenty of exposure. Although the warmth of the vintage comes through, this is a fine Preuses. The palate shows purity of stone fruit, combined with a citrus-zest, mineral character on both nose and palate. Already approachable, there is so much more to come. Finishes with a long,  savoury aftertaste.

Chablis 1er Cru ‘Montée de Tonnerre‘ 2019 : 93/100

Classic Montée de Tonnerre with some intense mineral notes and firm acidity to keep the ripe fruit in balance. Very elegant with stony, flinty notes on the aftertaste adding an extra dimension to the pristine tree-fruit flavours. This is drinking well already, but is a wine with a long future ahead.
